ICHS TEACHERS & THE USE OF GOOGLE CLASSROOM

Teachers at International Community High School were using educational technology, such as Google Classroom, before the beginning of the COVID pandemic. However, since its start, having teachers highly skilled in the use of educational technology has become much more important to help maintain the classroom during remote learning. ICHS teachers develop their Google Classrooms with a variety of applications so that lessons are well-structured with necessary supports while also including ways of making lessons more engaging during these challenging times. With hybrid learning coming in September 2020, and most students engaging with teachers in an online setting, the use of Google Classroom to instruct is especially important. At the beginning of the school year, each team will conduct virtual workshop to help showcase and explain the various apps used in the classroom, including Google Classroom, Kahoot, and many others.
